Let’s face it; it’s really tough to make it on one income unless the working spouse makes a huge salary. And if that’s the case why would the other one want to work anyway unless they were just bored? But a lot of people out there are asking if there are ways to make some extra money working from home because they legitimately need the extra income. So how do you learn to make money online and not get ripped off by all the people out there selling the program that guarantees they’ll make a million dollars a year!?

The other day I was looking at the questions that people ask on the Yahoo Answers board and I came across two people asking just that. Here are the questions just as they appeared:

Mom wants to work from home?

I am looking for a way to make a steady income from home. I have three kids, who keep me pretty busy, but in my free time, I would love to help my husband a little.

And —

Any job opportunities for stay at home dad?

Looking to make money at home while taking care of toddler.

The answer is YES! There is opportunity to make a good living with affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing is simply referring people to companies who can meet specific needs. For instance, we refer people to lenders that specialize in bad credit. Other people refer to dating services, or show you how to download ringtones. There’s a huge amount of companies that want you to help them advertise and sell their products!

In our case it’s people with damaged or no credit. We refer people to any number of companies who we know can help them with their specific needs.

Is it difficult? NO! If it was I wouldn’t be doing it.

There is a lot of hype written on this subject and most of it is BS. Believe me. We’ve been designing websites for 4 years and have purchased our share of rip-off ebooks and programs promising to teach us how to make thousands of dollars overnight. And through it all we really only found one places that gave us the steps AND the tools to build a successful online business.
One of the most successful affiliate marketers is Rosalind Gardner who left her job as an air traffic controller in 1999 and went into this business. Her story of how she made $436,997 in 2002 is classic. Today she makes much more than that and you can too.

How do I know this is true? Because before we found her book we invested a ton of money in other plans and found out too late that the information was either outdated, much too complicated, or just plain untrue.

In Rosalind’s book she walks you through the steps of how to be a successful affiliate marketer. She will show you where to find affiliate companies, how to set up a website, and the whole nine yards as they say.
