About Us
How to tell you about us . . . Let’s start by being honest with you. We started this website to make money! Whew! We’re glad that’s out of the way.
After attempting to start an online business for the past three years we discovered something - there are A LOT of scams out there! We also discovered something about ourselves. First and foremost - we love helping people help themselves!
So we began thinking, “how can we start a website that helps people and empowers them, AND makes us money?” And the answer came to us, “help people with bad credit!” And that’s how www.1-800badcredit.com was started!
Why did we choose the topic of bad credit? Because we’ve both been there and we’ve both received AND been denied help! And in hindsight, we wish we knew then what we know now!
When Dewey started his businesses back in the 70’s and 80’s the US economy was tough. He worked hard to keep his credit and debt manageable, but it soon overwhelmed him and the family business ended up in bankruptcy.
In the late 80’s through the mid-90’s bankruptcy ruined you. Most lenders wouldn’t give you credit cards or car loans. Renting a home was difficult and owning a home was out of the question. It took them 10 years to get beyond the bankruptcy and be able to afford a home and get a car loan.
My credit card debt piled up on me about 10 years ago through a series of job layoffs and it took me well over 2 years to unbury. I was turned down for car loans and credit cards and was late on all of my payments. I finally turned to a credit counseling agency that rescued me and helped put me back on the path to sanity.
We began researching for this site a year ago with the hopes of bringing sanity back into your life as well. We both understand that life overwhelms you sometimes, but there is help available!
We have spent countless hours researching and finding lenders, credit counselors and credit card companies that will help you get your life back on track. Lenders that know you’re having a tough time but want to help.
We have also written articles that can help you make the right decisions to get your credit back up. Whether it be through a credit attorney, credit counseling, getting a car loan (to go to work and pay your bills) or just plain old helpful information on budgeting and saving. We have done our homework to help you!
As you read through our site we hope that you find the help you need to get back on the path towards good credit. Because although we want to make money, we want to see you succeed too! To not have to come back to our site!
We hope that in a year or so YOU won’t need our sites information, because you’re credit will score be up! But we also hope that you will recommend us to your friends with bad credit so they can get the help they need too!
